If you are arranging diwali party at home then you have to make the guest list first. But it all depends upon the scale on which you wish to arrange the party. If you want to take up on the grand scale then perhaps there will be too many guests. If you are taking up on the smaller scale then just a close friends will be there in the party. So, all you must do is make the rough list first and calculate as to how many guests are going to be there and then based on that the further arrangements with begin.
 
Call up or message your friends for the party
 
You should call up the guests whom you wish to attend the party. You can even message them. But make sure that they read all your messages.You can tell a friend and tell him to tell all the other friends. This will help you arrange for things that you wish to buy for the party. Its not that a party will always be dance and fun all the time. You can keep a dinner or lunch party too after the puja and for that you will need Ganesha Shubh Labh Idol.

You should find out what are the food tastes of the guests. Of course, all your friends will along to different castes and so it would be tough to find out what thing which person will like. So, all you must do is arrange something standard item for food which everyone would like. When the adults are busy with puja and meals, kids are surely to get bored. So, all you must do is arrange some games for kids and you can call up an entertainer for the same. A person who would make kids plan games like housie or may be someone who can make them dance would surely make them feel awesome.
